Exotic Companion Mammal Symposium

Stephen Dean Dilday, RVT of the OSU CVHS ZEW Club reached to OVTA and asked if we could share an exciting CE opportunity with our members, please see his letter below.

I am writing on behalf of the OSU Center for Veterinary Health Science (CVHS) ZEW Club. We are a student organization focused on promoting and providing exposure and experiences to all aspects of zoo, exotic, and wildlife medicine, and this spring we are helping to promote an event in which we hope you and your members might be interested.

As such we wish to notify you of this upcoming CE Opportunity at CVHS in Stillwater, OK. Oxbow Animal Health is coming to CVHS for an Exotic Companion Mammal Symposium and we wanted to reach out and invite any veterinary technicians and technician students who may find it beneficial to their work and/or studies.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Jörg Mayer, Associate Professor of Zoological and Exotic Animal Medicine at the University of Georgia. Also scheduled to present are OSU’s own Dr. Joao Brandao, Assistant Professor of Zoological Medicine and Dr. Micah Kohles, Oxbow Animal Health Director of Veterinary Science and Outreach.

The symposium offers the opportunity for up to 7 hours of CE Credit (RACE). Early bird registration is only $125.00 if registered before February 18, after that date the registration fee increases to $150.00. Any students who are interested in attending can register for only $50.00.

Thank you for your time,
